March 2025 Newsletter
A Touch of Irish Luck in Speech Therapy!
There once was a brain, quite complex,
Whose speech came out twisted in text.
With neurons misfiring,
And tongues often tiring,
We work to get words back in check!
March is here, and with it comes the charm of St. Patrick’s Day! As we embrace the spirit of the Irish, let’s talk about the power of speech and communication—something worth more than a POT OF GOLD
Speech Tip of the Month:
The Gift of Gab
The Irish are famous for their storytelling and eloquence. This month, try focusing on expressive language (and your brain!) by engaging in storytelling exercises. Whether it’s sharing a fond memory, narrating a short tale, or describing a favorite place, these activities help improve fluency and confidence.
Therapy in Action: Lucky Learning
Here are a few festive and engaging activities to bring an Irish twist to your speech (and brain!) practice:
- Shamrock Storytelling: Pick three words and create a short story around them.
- Leprechaun Listening: Practice following multi-step directions with a fun treasure hunt.
A Final Irish Blessing for You:
“May your words be clear, may your voice be strong,
May your speech bring joy all your life long!”
Sláinte (health!) to your speech (and brain!) success this March!
